(I think that I need to make the link between problems and security more explicit)

The desire for some problems over having other problems. Everyone has problems. Life is just a long string of logistics trying to solve various problems, some of which you get to choose and others which you do not get to choose. And even then both types are somewhat interrelated, but most of the time the problems that you choose also come with some type of benefit, which is why you decided to have that problem in the first place.

Some problems that are definitively worse than other problems, and some 2024-02-27_types-of-pain are justifiably more painful than other types of pain. Systems of inequality are systems in the end; most people recognize that we all have different problems for no real reason, because thatā€™s just life.

And dealing with those problems of privilege can lead to insecurity: do I have this problem because Iā€™m at a stage where I should have this problem? Or does this problem come from

Much of my thinking from this was inspired by Sam Harrisā€™s episode on regret.
