There’s never enough time to learn something but also to teach something.

Reflecting on some advice that my father gave me when I became a teaching assistant for the first time. He said, the first time I thought I was teaching, I was teaching to impress. I wanted to put on a great presentation. I wanted my students to be in awe of me. Then he laughed and then said, but you should be showing examples and how to do something in a manner that piques the interest of your students! That way they can take your lesson as a starting point.

I vacillate between the golden rule and the platinum rule when it comes to teaching.
